Qucs stands for Quite Universal Circuit Simulator. So far Qucs is not yet finished, but it is already packed with features. Take a look at the screenshots to get a feel for what it can do.
Qucs is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window.

Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships
For early career researchers, with a research record but who have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post, to undertake a significant piece of publishable work
Fellowships can be held at universities or at other institutions of higher education in the UK.
The Fellowships are intended to assist those at a relatively early stage of their academic careers, and it is hoped that the appointment would lead to a more permanent position for the individual, either within the same or another institution.
UKRI Fellowships
Our fellowships provide applicants with the flexibility and freedom to design a package that fits their career ambitions, research needs and personal development requirements
List of Funding and fellowships for STEM postdocs
There are three main categories of funding available:
- Travel grants and other small grants – look at Research Professional, UKRI, professional and academic societies, charities
- Fellowships – Personal grants to your salary and your research; sometimes also include costs for research equipment and/or students. Most fellowships last 1-5 years. See Research Professional and listing below for fellowship sources by discipline.
- Research grants – More substantial research funding. These are often only available to researchers with a permanent academic position. Your PI may encourage you to contribute towards writing grants within your group – this is excellent experience.
